Bill Dietrick is Vice President of Marketing at Proto Labs, Inc., a leading online and technology-enabled quick-turn manufacturer of low-volume CNC machined and injection molded custom parts. Proto Labs helps product developers worldwide get their ideas to market fast by delivering prototype and short-run production parts in as fast as one day, utilizing proprietary software running on a large compute cluster.
Bill has served as Vice President of Marketing at Proto Labs since May 2008 and as an interim President of Proto Labs Japan from April 2010 to October 2010. Previously, Bill was a partner with San Diego based Premise Immersive Marketing, a marketing consulting firm specializing in youth marketing. Bill has also served as Vice President and General Manager of Landscape Structures, a commercial playground equipment manufacturer, where he was responsible for the Skatewave® division of the company, a leading manufacturer of community-focused modular skate park systems. There, Bill helped to develop Skatewave 3.0, the industry’s only modular community skatepark system with two interchangeable riding surfaces for every skate board ramp. A graduate of Hamline University, Bill’s career of over 30 years of sales and marketing leadership has also included leadership positions at Witt Vending, West Group (now Thomson West), Sopheon (formerly Teltech Resource Network) and Charthouse International Learning.
