Clean Energy/Smart Grid Development
Georgie has held several positions in the Legislative and Executive branches of Minnesota state government, most recently with Minnesota Department of Commerce - Office of Energy Security where she worked with key public and private stakeholders on the development of clean energy commercial opportunities statewide. As part of that effort, she collaborated with industry and academia to form and lead a Minnesota Smart Grid Coalition focused on positioning Minnesota as a leader in the development and deployment of Smart Grid technologies, products and services. She currently consults on clean energy and Smart Grid development issues nationwide.
Georgie worked with the founders of the Minnesota Cup business plan competition to create a new “Clean Tech and Renewable Energy” Division in 2008 and continues to serve on its Review Board.
Georgie received a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas.
