

Debra Paterson is Executive Vice President and Community Banking Regional President with responsibility for all of Wells Fargo's retail and Business Banking operations in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) metro area. She manages $11 billion in assets, more than 2,100 team members and 95 banking stores throughout the region.
A 26-year veteran of financial services, Paterson assumed her current role in 2004. Previously, she was manager for Regional Banking Learning and Sales Development. Paterson's career began in 1980 with InterWest Bank (Union Bank) in Tucson, Ariz., where she held positions in retail branch management, marketing, strategic planning and business lending. In 1989, she joined First Interstate Bank's corporate banking group in San Diego as a middle-market commercial lender. Between 1994 and 1996, Paterson was a retail district manager for San Bernardino and Riverside counties in Southern California and, in 1996, was promoted to senior vice president and district manager for the San Gabriel Valley market in the Los Angeles area.
After the 1996 merger of Wells Fargo and First Interstate, she joined Wells Fargo's Premier Banking Division for Private Client Services. In 1999, she was named market president of the Inland Empire Division in California and was responsible for 75 stores and $2 billion in deposits.
A graduate of the University of Arizona and Pacific Coast Banking School, Paterson is on the faculty of the Consumer Banker's Association Graduate School of Retail Banking and has served on boards of community organizations such as Project for Pride in Living (PPL) in Minneapolis.
