The College of Biological Sciences
The College of Biological Sciences is focused on life science research, education, and outreach from molecules to ecosystems. Subject areas span biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, genomics, proteomics, microbial and molecular engineering, biotechnology, genetics, cell biology, development, ecology, evolution, behavior, and plant biology. We produce students with B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees who are trained to work in academia, government, and industry to improve human health, the environment, agriculture, and the economy. Our students are among the most highly qualified at the University of Minnesota.
The College of Biological Sciences offers a world of opportunities, from molecules to ecosystems, to improve human health, develop renewable resources, enhance agriculture, and restore the environment
